Super Junior Siwon Becomes First Korean Celebrity To Reach 4 Million Followers On Twitter
Popular idol group Super Junior member Siwon has become the first Korean celebrity to reach 4 million followers on Twitter.
On May 1, it was revealed that he had officially surpassed 4 million followers on his social media account.
Siwon first reached a million followers back in 2011 and reached 2 million in 2012. The idol member increased his number of followers by a million annually.
From the rate his followers are increasing, he’s expected to go over 5 million in 2015.
That still doesn’t compare to the 13 milliion followers that Siwon has on his Weibo account, according to Allkpop.
Siwon primarily uses Twitter to update fans on his daily life. He also uses it as a core way of communicating with his followers.
The beloved Super Junior member recently got a surprise on Twitter as his fellow group members uploaded pictures of themselves celebrating his birthday without him.
Siwon reportedly wasn’t in attendance for his 28th birthday celebration due to scheduling conflicts, but his fellow members went out for a big feast anyway.
SJ member Ryeowook wrote on Twitter, “Riby eye day keke Siwon, happy birthday!!!”
According to the Korean Twitter Rankings, Super Junior’s Donghae comes in second followed by Psy, G-Dragon, Yesung, Leeteuk and miss A’s Suzy.
Siwon’s career has been skyrocketing as of late, which explains why he couldn’t even make it to his own birthday party.
The 28-year-old singer will be working with Jackie Chan and possibly Mel Gibson in the historical action film “Dragon Blade,” according to 24-7kpop.
Although Siwon’s role in the film has yet to be confirmed, the South Korean sensation has noticeably been attending a lot of Jackie Chan related events, including the actor’s birthday party and recent fan meeting in Beijing.
If Siwon is cast for the role, it will reportedly lead to the idol star’s big break into Hollywood. He’ll be following in the footsteps of former Super Junior member Hangeng.

Sim Entertainment is currently stepping foot into the Chinese market with their actor Joo Won, and as they stated on May 5, his next project will be a Chinese film titled Xiao You Qiao Mu. Starting from the middle of this month, the Korean actor will be traveling back and forth from Korea and China to film for the movie.
Director Lee Sang Gyu of Yuehua Entertainment‘s Korean branch said,
Joo Won’s dramas received a lot of love in China and he is also receiving a lot of interest from the fans after the recent reports came out about his appearing in drama ‘Nodame Cantabile.’ Considering the Hallyu wave in China, this production will likewise be a considerable hit. Xiao You Qiao Mu will be a joint Korean-and-Chinese film as well as an investment and distribution collaboration between China Film, a production company, and Yuehua Entertainment. Hangeng has also been cast in the movie, and Jo Jin Gyu will take on the job of directing the movie.
Xiao You Qiao Mu will be a melodrama based on an internet novel that revolves around the love story involving three men and one woman.
Meanwhile, Joo Won’s latest film, Fashion King, will be played for the first time at the 67th Canne Films Festival.

Super Junior and F(x) sport bright and festive colors for “spao s/s”
It’s that time of the year again, so lets break out into those shorts and colorful shirts!
Now that the warm seasons are here, people are shedding all those dull colored winter clothes. Spring and summer are the bright and colorfully festive seasons of the year, and to show you their colorful sides are the ladies of f(x) and the men of Super Junior as they pose for SPAO S/S (Spring/Summer).
Their clothing is very pastel like and range from warm to cool colors. One thing is for sure though, they all look great, happy and shine as bright as the sun!

140502 Siwon Takes a “Wedding” Photo with Kan Qing Zi
Photos of Super Junior’s Siwon’s “wedding” have surfaced on the internet. The pictures are part of a joint Korean-Chinese drama project entitled “Inheriting Billions”, and were posted on co-star Kan Qing Zi’s Weibo account.
The drama series is being shot in China and tells the tale of a businessman struggling to gain control of a huge financial inheritance.
The photos show Siwon and drama love-interest Kan Qing Zi, posing for what appear to be family wedding snaps by the seafront. Siwon is wearing a smart-looking black tuxedo, while his “bride” wears a white sleeveless dress.
The new project will reunite the Super Junior star with director Oh Sang Won, who also co-directed KBS drama “Poseidon” in 2011, where he played an undercover detective.

He has no qualms putting his androgynous looks to good use -- entertaining with his uncanny ability to impersonate women.
The versatile entertainer has transformed into female stars such as Lady Gaga (donning a blonde wig mimicking her famed bow hairdo) and Jessica from K-pop girl band Girls’ Generation (acting coy and showing off his slender figure in a red cheongsam).
No wonder Heechul emerged the champion in a Top 10 Cross-Dressing Idols poll done by MTV K in 2011.
Coming in second on the charts were the Shinee boys, and BigBang‘s G-Dragon placed third.
Even Heechul’s ”wife“ has admitted in interviews that he is far from her ideal mate, whom she prefers to be more masculine.
Taiwanese singer Puff Kuo is his on-screen ”wife“ for his ongoing stint on virtual celebrity marriage reality show We Got Married Global Edition.
Airing on cable here, the show depicts celebrities going through the dating ritual, from awkward first dates to tear-jerking break-ups and a temporary ”marriage“ that lasts for a stipulated time.
Kuo, of girl group Dream Girls, has since been blown away by her hubby‘s gentlemanly behaviour, like when he offered her his coat when she felt cold.
